Answer: Every Examiner associated with our company will carry their credentials on them. This not only includes State of California proof of Certification but also a badge with their picture to prove their affiliation with Salser. Our practice of making confirmation calls the day before also allows clients to find out the name of the specific Examiner coming to their appointment.
Solution: We not only allow the inquiry from clients as to the identity of our Examiners, we encourage it. The Examiner should be able to present all of the above credentials at every appointment, or not be admitted into the home. Encourage your clients to look for such identifiers from the person at their door before allowing them in.
Answer: When the application is submitted agents have the option of having the insurance company transmit the client’s information to whichever company is local to the client, or choosing another paramedical company you trust. Sometimes, either that choice is not made clear on the application, or the insurance company may not have seen that you have chosen your own company and they send your client’s information elsewhere.
Solution: Leave our brochure or card with every client so they have our company name! Also inform your clients that you have chosen to use us because you have a relationship with us, and that we will clearly be identifying ourselves as Salser Paramedical throughout the process.
Answer: At the first point of contact with a new agent we require speaking directly to them. There are security passwords and questions which we must establish from them and not through a third party.
Solution: We always appreciate referrals, but it is best to hand your associate the phone and allow us to set up their account and teach them the process. We happily walk them through our website and save you that tutorial.
Answer: These are identity confirmations required to be put on the lab slip which processes the specimens. We do not decide what is required on this slip, nor which laboratory is used. Each Insurance Company chooses their own laboratory and has input regarding what they would like to see on the lab slip. We are required to verify that we are collecting specimens on the correct client. The Insurance Company may also use these for other purposes such as Medical Records, Homeland Protection, DMV Report, etc. Also for funds to be paid out to beneficiaries it is necessary for them to have the correct Social Security #.
Solution: Please inform your client of this process when meeting with them so that if they have any serious objections we will still have time to investigate what protocol the Insurance Company would like us to follow in that specific case.
Answer: Yes we make confirmation calls to remind clients for all appointments. Confirmation calls are done the day before the scheduled appointment(weekend appointments are confirmed on Friday). A confirmation is either speaking with the client or leaving a message for them reminding them that we are coming. If we are unable to do either of these to remind the client we will call you ASAP to obtain an alternate way to contact client. Confirmation calls include special instructions that we give clients to help them get better results from their appointment.
Solution: It is best to give us all contact information you may have when submitting the order. This includes home, cell, business, email, or even the number of their spouse. In this way we will try every way possible to remind them of their appointment.
